Harrow County is on ongoing comic book series written by Cullen Bunn and Illustrated and lettered by Me, Tyler Crook. The series began in 2015 and is published by Dark Horse Comics.

Emmy always knew that the deep, dark woods surrounding her home crawled with ghosts, goblins, and zombies. But on the eve of her eighteenth birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures—and to the land itself—in a way she never imagined.

"Harrow County" is a masterful creation that lingers in the small moments of terror in our daily lives. It builds this tension by adding a supernatural layer, and hits you over the head with a petrifying climax. It's attractive and scary. You'll be scared to turn the page, but dying to see what beautiful darkness comes next. This is a whole new level southern gothic that cannot be missed. -  Zac Thompson, Bloody Disgusting

Process Videos

In this group of videos, I pencil, ink and color a splash page for Harrow County #2.

1. Pencils
I start with a hard lead pencil and cough in the composition and then go in with a darker, soft lead pencil and tighten up the drawing and workout my shadows and light.

2. Inks
Using a kolinski sable brush and a crow quill nib pen, I ink the page. I use an acrylic ink that dries waterproof. That's important for when I color the page.

3. Color
color using a variety of watercolor paints, usually M. Graham & Co. and Windsor & Newton Professional. For highlights and very deep shadows, I use gouache.
